      EVENT DETAILS
      Social Theory and AMR

This workshop will bring together social science and humanities colleagues with an interest in AMR. We will be exploring how social scientists and humanities scholars have used social theory to make sense of AMR to date, and what the future of theorising AMR might be. The workshop is designed to be informal and conversational and we welcome students and colleagues from across disciplines to join us for the day.  We are delighted that we will be joined by the following speakers:  Catherine Will, University of Sussex: http://www.sussex.ac.uk/profiles/204943 Christina Buse, University of York: https://www.york.ac.uk/sociology/our-staff/academic/chrissy-buse/ Andrea Nunez Casal, Goldsmiths: https://www.gold.ac.uk/media-communications/research/current-phd-students/nunez-casal/  In addition, Kimberly Jamie (Durham University, Department of Sociology) and Marie-Louise Wohrle (Durham University, Department of Anthropology) will present on their work exploring antimicrobial clay, which is directly linked to a current IAS grant in this area (https://www.dur.ac.uk/ias/1920projects/sharples/).
